About Franconia District
Franconia District, renamed from the old Lee District on June 28, 2022, is one of nine magisterial districts in Fairfax County, Virginia. Located just south of the City of Alexandria, Franconia District is home to more than 125,000 people as of the 2020 census. That’s bigger than the cities of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Hartford, Connecticut! With the addition of West Springfield precinct in 2022, Franconia District stretches from Rolling Road in the west to Richmond Highway in the east. Our district encompasses Springfield Town Center as well as Kingstowne Town Centre, Beacon Center and Springfield Plaza. Franconia District is served by three Metro stations: Franconia-Springfield, Van Dorn and Huntington.
